TUSKER F.C NEW SEASON 23/24 PREPARATIONS

Tusker Preparations for the new season 2023/2024

The 12 times K.P.L Champions have camped in Ruaraka continuing with pre- season towards the new season ,having bottled the league last season ...Gor Mahia lifting the trophy the "breweries" are getting set for the new season under coach Robert Matano.

They have released a number of players as the number stands at 7 who were out of contract and could not renew as they search for fresh blood and 'players with character 'as Matano had earlier indicated after the loss to Kakamega Homeboyz in the FKF Cup final here is the list of released players ;

1.JACKSON MACHARIA, the midfielder who has been the longest serving player (8years)for the breweries has been released upon the expiry of the contract , while atTusker Macharia was lucky enough to achieve these;

2016-League title &GOTV Shield Cup

2021-League title &FKF Cup

2022-League title (season was later nullified by FKF).

2.DAVID MAJAK, the striker was released after expiry of the contract . 

3.SHAMI MWINYI,the midfielder was released after expiry of contract. 

4.MICHAEL WANJALA,the goalkeeper was released and is said to be in talks with the mailmen (POSTA RANGERS)

5.KEVIN MONYI, will also depart after expiry of the contract. 

6.KALOS KIRENGE, the Tanzanian defender also left the club and has joined GEITA GOLD in Tanzania 

7HUMPHREY MIENO,the skipper , experienced midfield maestro has also left club after the expiry of his contract, he was the captain of the side and now leaves the armband for defender CHARLES MOMANYI who will be deputised by goalkeeper BRIAN BWIRE.

Tusker fans , management and community thanked all the departing players for the good memories and wished them well in there new adventures and challenges. 

Having released ,Tusker have also acquired new signings and are holding trials with a number of players and have also extended some players contract here are some of the signings so far and contract extension;

1.DEOGRATIOUS OJOK, the Ugandan striker contract has been extended by a year and he will continue leading the attack for the brewers in the new season. 

2.JOSEPH MWANGI,the super midfielder has signed a new contract with Tusker from NZOIA and will add quality in the midfield area .

3.JAMES KIBANDE, has also signed a contract with Tusker from KENYA POLICE and will add more depth to the squad . 

4.FABIAN ADIKINY, the skillful midfielder has also signed with the breweries coming from the newly promoted side MURANG'A SEALS,having trained with them he secured the contract. 

5.JOHN BYAMUKAMA, the Ugandan midfielder is also said to have secured a contract from different reports after impressing in training sessions .

6.CHARLES MOMANYI, the defender extended his contract till 2024 and will be leading the defense next season .

As they continue preparing for the new season in Ruaraka , the club will be looking to add new players to squad and maybe realease some as time goes , so as to challenge for the 13 league title , the club will also have some friendly games to help with preparations in between 6-13 August before travelling to MBARAKI SPORTS CLUB , MOMBASA  for the23/24 season opener against the coastal side  BANDARI F.C on 26 th august , we wish them well good luck Matano  and the boys.
