INDOMITABLE LIONESSES, HARAMBEE STARLETS CLASH

Cameroon(W)vs Kenya(W) 2024 WAFCON qualifiers to be held in Morocco will be a mouth-watering clash, the two-legged match will take place in Doula , Cameroon and Nairobi, Kenya on 22nd and 26th September respectively , the winner overall will face the victor between Gabon and Botswana .Second round qualifiers will be played November 27 & December 5, 2023.

Harambee Starlets the Beldine Ademba coached side squad that travelled to the West Africa country, in addition to the team was late inclusion Mercy Njeri among other top players Kundu, Ingosi, Cynthia Shilwatso, Vivian Aquino, Akida makes a comeback to the squad and Mwanalima Adam adding depth on the attack that is star studded.

The crew is rich of talent both experienced and young players tho Marjolene Nekesa, Topsiter Situma , and Captain Dorcus Shikobe could not make the final squad , Nekesa missed due to health issues .

Harambee Starlets last played competitive football in October, 2021 versus Bright Starlets in WAFCON 2022 contestant match which they they later pulled out of the contenders where they were to face Uganda. 

As part of readiness they played two familiar games while in camp vs KWPL side Police Bullets which they won 1-0 ( C.Shilwatso ) and Highway Secondary School Boys Team they won (3-2)( Mwanalima,C.Shilwatso,Vivian Aquino on the scoresheet).

The second leg in Nairobi is set to be played either in Nyayo Stadium or Ulinzi Complex on Tuesday 26/09/23 as per Sports CS Namwamba. 

Indomitable Lionesses,will be aiming for the 14 appearance in WAFCON being runners up in 1991,2004,2014,2016, last edition 2022 they were eliminated in the last stages.

Jean Baptiste has named 23 women squad to tackle Harambee Starlets with notable names out of the squad Estelle Johnson and defender Ewoudou Bisseck who is injured . 

In preparations the lionesses played a friendly against a group of selected women players from the Central Region which they won 3-1courtesy of Toko's brace and Ngah Manga's goal.The outfit  has good players likes Nchout Ajara , Meyong Menene, Reading Women's Mayi Kith,Ngock Monique,Aboudi Onguene . 

Cameroon last match was against Portugal side in World Cup playoffs where they lost 2-1.

Both teams have met in previous years last meeting being on October, 2016 where Kenya's Starlets lost by a solitary goal.
